Hi, I’m Alyssa. I am originally from a small town in Central Texas, and it still holds a dear place in my heart. I moved to Abilene, Texas in 2008 to study Theology, which is also where I met my husband Logan, a Theology and Philosophy major.
My experiences at the Logsdon School of Theology completely transformed the way I think about God, humanity, and the relationship between them. I like talking theology, asking questions and looking at things with a different perspective. At this point in my life, I’m interested in comparative religions, religion and literature, hermeneutics, language, religious myth, narrative theology and historical theology, among many other things. Hopefully I’ll make it to graduate school one of these days, but until then, I’m busy working a full-time job as an admissions consultant for transfer students at my alma mater.
This is my first blogging attempt, and my plan is to write about what is going on in my life. That could occasionally mean tales concerning my marriage, theological musings, new recipes, mundane happenings or travel experiences, but it is all to be shared and enjoyed with you.
I love strong coffee and dark beer, reading and collecting books, baking, and the great outdoors.
Thanks for reading!
